Ambivalent Idol Posting..."I hear this is the last season"
Missed the first few performances, but the recap revealed that I didn't miss much.
I was SO bummed with Mandisa's version of the Mary Mary song.
I love that album.
I expected her to nail it. The last note was OK, I suppose.
SCREAMING bald guy has GOT to stop.
I think he just dislodged the effect of my antidepressant and now I need medication for anxiety. Christian's interpretation of Simon's advice that Chris needs to "show us a different side of you,"
"show us your pussy side..."

My 2 cents: she's going through the motions; the vocal stunts are annoying.

Funny thing... searching google images looking for images of a shaved pussy cat, she found something else entirely.
Betsy, you have a dvr now. That's the beauty of the machine — no need to miss performances. You can just fast forward through the bad ones... which is pretty much what I did throughout the whole show. Everyone stunk in my opinion. I like Katharine and Taylor but everyone else was BLAH. ~lm
Too funny on the cat. I'm glad you finally found one despite the side trip I'm sure according to Christian. As for Mary Mary...I love that song but haven't heard the album. I'll have to look for it. I agree I was disappointed by the Mandisa version.

Lisa, I just cringed most of the way through and muted the rest.
Kelly - didn't like it (but I thought she looked like Carrie Underwood)
Ace - ewwww... all I can say. The whole scar thing was just a bit too much.
Taylor - I thought he did great. I like the subdued version... he's showing he can go in either direction.
Mandisa - I like her, I think she can sing. But this was off. I really wanted her to nail it but... she didn't.
Chris - I think he's great but I did not care for this AT ALL. I felt like I was watching a rerun from the week's before.
Katharine - again, she's one of my favorites. I thought she did poorly and was surprised by the judges' comments.
Bucky - eh, it was ok. I don't think he's a contender to win but he was ok
Paris - don't do Beyonce and for the love for all that is good in this world - get a stylist! What was she wearing?!
Elliott - I thought he was one of the better ones. Not a big fan of his but he did better than the rest.
I have to say that I agreed with Simon on most of his comments (except the Katharine one). Did anyone else see Simon pulling Paula down into her chair after Elliott's performance? Funny. He looked so annoyed with her!
Bottom 3: Bucky, Lisa and Ace. I bet Lisa is going home. That poor rendition of a great song is going to bite her in the rear.
